That sound you might have heard in Phinney Ridge at 8pm Pacific tonight was two dozen people of all ages huddled around Joel and Susan’s living room giving a full throated salute to our new President-Elect Barack Obama. It was an appropriately diverse group: our friend Bob recalled segregation-era Alabama. The older kids seemed to fully grasp the historic moment they were witnessing. Champagne corks popped, fireworks went off around the neighborhood, and a lot of people soaked in an evening that meant so much to everyone. Many thanks to our wonderful hosts and guests, we were glad we could share this with you all.
