It’s really exciting to hear Barack Obama talking about companies like McKinstry that are helping us transition to the green economy that not only will be a huge part of our response to the threat of climate change, but also the best long-term response to the global economic meltdown. McKinstry IS a great company — all you have to do is visit their headquarters in Seattle to get a feel for the cutting-edge work they’re doing, and to better understand why employees there like what they do and feel valued. By the way, Ash Awad, a McKinstry vice president, has been a real leader on the Governor’s Climate Action Team — just an example of how McKinstry is also giving back to the community. Pretty cool to have your company called out publicly by the person who will probably be the next president!

That was great when McKinstry was mentioned by Obama on his broadcast. They were certainly a good choice as mechanical contractor on the Washington Biodiesel Warden facility for Pacific Coast Canola.

I have been involved with McKinstry for over one year through the company I work for. I agree completely that this company sets a standard of excellence that is admirable. McKinstry has such good employee benefits and an excellent work environment it is a perfect example from this area. I am also aware that the company contributes resources to the community that benefit both our people and environment.

McKinstry sounds amazing. Are they hiring? Do they have a website? I’m still consulting but they sound like a great company.
